Ward 6 is located in the northeastern quadrant of Hilton Head Island and includes the gated communities of Port Royal and Palmetto Hall and about a quarter of Hilton Head Plantation, plus historic neighborhoods in and around Mitchelville Freedom Park, Fish Haul Road, Baygall, Beach City Road, Dillon Road East and Union Cemetery.

The Ward currently includes an estimated 6,400 registered voters. The Ward has six voting precincts, including HH2B, HH5A, HH5B, HH5C, HH3 and HH6.

For those new to Hilton Head Island, our Town Council consists of our mayor Alan Perry plus six council members elected for four-year terms. Three of the six council members are elected every two years. This year the three Wards up for election are 1, 3, and 6. The current Town Council representative for Ward 6 is Glenn Stanford, who recently decided not to run for re-election.
